Multilingual wedding invitation: one link, every guest in their language

If your wedding brings together families who do not share a language, sending two separate versions is a recipe for chaos. There is a better way.

Multilingual wedding invitation: one link, every guest in their language

The real problem with a two-language wedding

When half your list speaks English and the other half Spanish or German, almost every couple ends up doing the same thing: two documents, two WhatsApp groups and two spreadsheets. It works until a timing changes and only one of the two versions gets updated.

The classic outcome: the German family arrives an hour early because their PDF had the old schedule. That is not a language problem, it is a duplicated-information problem.

How we solve it: one website, several languages

We build a single website with a language switcher. Every guest receives exactly the same link; when they open it, each one sees it in their own language. Change a timing and it updates for everyone at once.

The RSVP form is translated too, so a German guest replies in German — and their answer arrives in your dashboard normalised alongside all the others. There are no two lists to reconcile.

  • One link for the entire guest list
  • Language switcher visible on the invitation itself
  • Translated RSVP with replies unified in one dashboard
  • A last-minute change is made once, not once per language
  • Every plan includes languages: 1 on Essential, 2 on Signature, unlimited on Atelier

Which languages we work in

Spanish, English and German are our daily work — our own website runs in all three. We have also worked in Catalan, French and Italian.

One honest note: we review translations with a native ear rather than running them through a machine translator and calling it done. In a wedding invitation the tone matters as much as the information, and a literal translation shows immediately.

When it is genuinely worth it

Not every wedding needs it. It pays off when you have at least 15–20 guests who are not fluent in the main language, when there are in-laws from another country, or when it is a destination wedding with travelling guests — which is nearly every Mallorca and Ibiza wedding we work on.

Frequently asked questions

Do guests have to pick a language every time?

No. We can detect the browser language so they land on the right version, and the switcher stays visible in case someone prefers another.

Is the replies dashboard multilingual too?

The dashboard is for you, so it is in your language. Guest replies arrive normalised: if someone selects 'vegetarian' in German, it appears in the same category as everyone else's in your list.

How much does an extra language cost?

Signature (€390) includes two languages and Atelier (€490) unlimited. If you are on Essential and need a second one, we quote it based on how long the website is.

Can we translate the copy ourselves?

Yes, and many bilingual couples prefer to. You send us the translated version and we lay it out and review it.

How many languages does your wedding need?
